I don’t have marriage nervousness cause I knew it was him, in fact I’m going to do Naagin dance like I did before at our first wedding

How different do you want your bride avatar to be from before, because 10 years later fashion has changed so much?

This time I am getting married in a very nice pastel colored outfit which is not very heavy and my kind of outfit. Even my wedding saree before was very simple and light. Last time, since I’m a Punjabi, the brides on our side are wearing red attire for the wedding while in Gujarati they are wearing red and white. In Punjabis, white outfits are not worn by the bride. So I wore a white saree with a red trim last time.

Men are generally sorted when it comes to their wedding outfits. What was Malav’s position on the same thing? Did you help her choose the outfit?

Malav didn’t choose a single outfit for him. It has been decided that whatever I wear it will have to coordinate the colors. He recently had hand surgery and is not very comfortable with the multiple changes in outfits. He will wear the same outfit for the wedding and will also continue for the cocktail party. But I insist that he wear a suit. I gave him a few options and he was extremely quick to decide.

Are you experiencing the same nuptial nervousness as every bride-to-be? What’s the feeling?

As for nuptial nervousness, I never had it the first time I married him. I knew Malav was the one. We were best friends before we got married. To this day I have exactly the same feelings and now the only thing is I have to take care of Ardaas in the middle of it all. I also enjoyed my first marriage. I literally did the Naagin dance on my sangeet and I think I will repeat the same this time. I am a very relaxed person. I love to celebrate every moment of my life.

How do you think your and Malav’s son Ardaas will react when they see his parents fully dressed and remarry?

As for seeing me wearing my avatar, he has already seen my shoot for the series because I am an actor. He’s seen me fully dressed so many times, not that many times, but I don’t think makeup and everything will be a problem for him.

Something / ritual / major ceremony that you and Malav are sure to perform that you didn’t do in your last wedding ceremony?

We did most of the rituals of our first ceremony. In fact, we’re not going to follow the very picky ones this time around. Of course we’ll have pheras and all and a lot of fun after that. But I think this time we are going to do a ceremony where the bride and groom have to find the ring in a bowl of milk and water. We had missed this ritual because we were in such a rush. So, yes, we will this time.

Well I wish Priya and Malav a very happy birthday and a happy happy life to come!
