Shannon Rebecca Twilley and John Hall Francis Greenbacker Exchange Wedding Vows on May 15th | Celebrations

John Hall Francis Greenbacker, from South Boston, and Shannon Rebecca Twilley from Greensboro, North Carolina, tied the knot on May 15, 2021 in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

The bride is the daughter of Michael E. and Jeanne Hill Twilley of Greensboro, North Carolina. The groom is the son of John E. Greenbacker Jr. and Sarah Z. Greenbacker of South Boston. Reverend John Willett of Greensboro, North Carolina officiated.

The initial guest reception and rehearsal dinner took place at the Turtle Point Clubhouse, and the wedding and reception took place on the River Course Green and the River Course Clubhouse on Kiawah, respectively.

The wedding party consisted of Bridesmaid Meghan Ruddy Fitzgerald of Raleigh, North Carolina, Bridesmaids Kathryn Cooke of Baltimore, Maryland, Alexandra Lull, Meredith Bragg, Katie Dalldorf Schuman, and sister-in-law of bride Claudia Twilley, all of New York City, New York, groom’s sister-in-law Lauren-Kelly Greenbacker of Charlotte, North Carolina, and groom’s sister Dr. Helen C. Greenbacker of Richmond.

The groom’s brother, Robertson W. Greenbacker, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was the best man, and his and Lauren-Kelly’s sons, Everett and Simon Greenbacker, carried the wedding ring.

The groomsmen included William Avera Jr. of Summerville, NC, Samuel Lantor of Raleigh, NC, William Buchanan of Greensboro, Tared Inkidar of Ashville, NC, Evan Kirkland of Ashville, NC , brother of the bride, Stephen Twilley of New York City, New York, Michael Puryear of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Nathaniel Snead of Reston.

The bride is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the groom is a graduate of Appalachian State University and Elon University Law School. A member of the bars of Virginia and North Carolina, the groom is a partner at the law firm Lorenz and Creed in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

The couple will reside in Southern Pines.
